Success Stories

My name is Gagan and I am 11 years old. I am studying in 3rd grade at AWC Maharajpur. My father’s name is Mr. Rajesh Kumar and he works as a daily wager in a private company and my mother, Mrs. Vinita Devi works as a domestic help. I stay with my family of 9 members that includes 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
It has been almost 8 years since my father along with the family came down to Maharajpur from Kishrowpura in Firozabad district in Uttar Pradesh to find work. I was enrolled in the Government school at my native village but at Maharajpur, supporting the family with little funds became very difficult so I decided not to bring up my education to the forefront,” recalls Gagan.
Waking up to a new dawn.
One day my mother came to know about this academy that educates the children without charging any fees. She shared this information with my father and he supported her interest, after which my two brothers and I were enrolled in the academy. Since my enrolment in 2013, I have learnt so many things. Now I can read Hindi books and have also learnt many things in English. My parents have always motivated me to study well. Furthermore, drawing and painting interests me most at the academy and therefore, I come here daily and actively participate in all the extra-curricular activities.
I am eternally thankful to the staff of the project for motivating my parents for my enrolment in the academy as well as Sanganeria Foundation to support this school,” says a grateful Gagan.
