Jyoti
Jyoti is an eight years old girl in Karkar School and belongs to village Jaleli, Hardoi district, Uttar Pradesh. Limited sources of income at the village made her family migrate to Ghaziabad in search of work. Her parents work as labourers in a factory and she has 3 more sisters who study in the same academy. She has been with the academy since 2014 and at present studies in 2nd class.
In the beginning, she faced difficulty in adjustment as she had never been to school before, but the support from teachers made her acquainted with the education approach and she became comfortable. She always participates actively in cultural events and other extra-curricular activities. There has been an obtrusive improvement in her academics as well as in oratory skills. Jyoti likes coming to the academy regularly and she is eternally thankful to Humana People to People India for this opportunity to study, for which many people in the country are deprived of.
